I'm on 10-20 mgs. of methadone a day. I thought about suboxone but I went 3 days w/o and a buddy gave me asuboxone 8mg. I put it under my tongue, but I never really felt any better. Did I not take enough? Did I take too much? I was told that I needed to take it for a few days straight b4 I'd notice anything. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Suboxone is indicated for: SUBOXONE and SUBUTEX are indicated for the treatment of opioid dependence.
Methadone is indicated for:
1. For the treatment of moderate to severe pain not responsive to non-narcotic analgesics.
2. For detoxification treatment of opioid addiction (heroin or other morphine-like drugs).
3. For maintenance treatment of opioid addiction (heroin or other morphine-like drugs), in conjunction with appropriate social and medical services.
It is not recommended to change/switch meds without seeking medical advice, hope the info helps?
You won't feel anything. If you want the 'feeling' do a drug. Suboxone is to prevent opiate addicts from feeling any drug - like a wire nut on an electric wire - protects it. Nothing can get thru.
Ive actually felt pretty loaded off methadone. I heard you are not suppose to feel anything but i truely did on the methadone. I havent heard to many great things about suboxone. Yes i heard that it takes a while to feel better on the suboxone. Methadone is more instant.
It's good to b in the begining of withdrawl when U start takeing your Suboxone. I don't think U will get the same felling, the only thing Suboxone does for me that the pain pill's did also, was the energy. Other than that I would say NO, not the same feeling...
