Never heard of Sinvastatin.
Diabetes I think is usually handed down family genes or from weight

I suggest that you ask a pharmacist about this. But I think that if you have hx of diabetes in your family or yourself it maybe a concern. I tried to look for the drug and since it is not sold here in the US I could not find it but found other drugs that contain this drug and it did show for concern on diabetes. Best bet is the pharmacist.

Is it Simvastatin?

Simvastatin treats conditions related to heart disease, such as high cholesterol and high triglycerides. It is also used to prevent cardiovascular disease. It works by blocking an enzyme that controls the rate of cholesterol production in the body.

Diabetes is usually hereditary, perhaps your doc could be of more help.
