What kind of effects are you talking about? Silvasorb is a colloidal silver alginate product that helps kill bacteria colonizing in wounds. This product is usually used in wounds that drain a lot. If the wound is dry, the product will dry out and stick to the wound bed causing a "pulling" sensation as the products sticks. This can be alleviated by putting a little sterile saline on the product when packing the wound. Hope this helps some.
