I am taking Prometrium to assist with getting pregnant (luteal phase dysfunction). Will I ovulate as I did before Prometrium or will my cycle adjust to the length it is while taking Prometrium?
It's really hard to say. Progesterone is given to lift the levels in your body. Naturally once the progesterone level falls below a certain level you have your period. By giving progesterone it just brings on the period. If you ovulated naturally, on your own before, then you should ovulate on your own again. But it's very difficult to assess these things. Your doctor will surely monitor you. All the best.
