My wife suffered head trauma and has a small brain hemmorage. Will percocet increase bleeding like ibprofen
No percocet does not cause bleeding like anti inflammatories do but usually opioids are not recommended in someone who has had head trauma because it can increase intracranial pressure which can cause big problems in someone with a head injury. Please discuss this with the prescribing Dr.
No it will not because it is acetaminophen versus ibuprofen. Depending on the amount of Percocet (5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, or higher) will probably not cause any additional head trauma. However, if you take more than is prescribed and decrease the time between taking the medication you could cause problems. If the pain is not subsiding, you need to call your doctor as soon as the office opens.
