Hello Tyice. Klonopin is a slow acting Benzodiazepine. When taken, the drug will remain active longer in your system than say Xanax also a Benzodiazepine but a fast acting drug where upon taking this drug, you'll get relief much quicker than the Klonopin. Both as all the Benzodiazepines, are prescribed for anxiety disorders, as well as several psychiatric disorders such as Bi-polar disorder. Good health and wishes to you, pledge
I take Klonopin and it does help with panic disorder, 2 things you must be careful with , klonopin is highly addictive as with all benzodiazepines (xanax, ativan, valium,etc... ), and second never mix it with alcohol, it can increase certain side effects.-
