I just got an email saying 91 day pills have higher risks.
The extended- and continuous-cycle oral contraceptives appear to be safe. Trials of extended- and continuouscycles versus a traditional 21/7 regimen have not been conducted to evaluate the frequency of common hormone-related adverse effects (e.g., nausea, headache, breast tenderness, weight changes) and more serious adverse effects (e.g., gallbladder disease, venous thromboembolism).
See http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/578717_7 for more information.
Who was the email from?
- Jolessa Information for Consumers
- Jolessa Information for Healthcare Professionals (includes dosage details)
- Side Effects of Jolessa (detailed)
