My son is 24. he had kidney transplant 3 years ago. He got married last year. No pregnency until now and he found out that his sperms are weak, however there is a procedure for having a baby. I am worried because of Cellcept. Does it damage the sperms? in another way, does it affect the unborn baby?
Only animal studies have examined the effect of Cellcept on male fertility. The dose used on rats was 0.1 times of what is used in humans - no fertility problems were reported.
Sorry I could not be more helpful.
See: https://www.drugs.com/pro/cellcept.html - scroll down to Carcinogenesis and Impairment of fertility.
