I heard that the grapefruit interferes with the thyroid med absorption... true??

Synthroid should be taken with a full glass of water, during the same time each day. Although grapefruit juice should not be ingested with certain medications, to my knowledge, Synthroid isn't a medication included in those specific precautions. However the manufacture does state that you should avoid Soybean flower, cotton seed meal, walnuts and dietary fiber because these can bind to the medications making it less effective in your GI tract. I hope this helps. Good luck to you!
