Does anyone have type 1 diabetes and has been given Metformin as well as insulin?

Metformin is not used in Type 1 Diabetes, because in Type 1 diabetes your pancreas is not making insulin and only insulin therapy can control the blood sugar levels.

Metformin and Insulin can be used together for controlling blood sugars in patients with Type 2 Diabetes.
