... relief because my dose is incorrect or because this brand may not be as reliable as some other brand. Any advice is appreciated very much! Thank you
I went through this.mylan now makes the brand without the gel.i donot like theese @ all.for some reason the gels work better but but the only thing i found out was the non gel one stick better.they maketheese so that people wont suck the gel out.but u can still suck the other ones as well so i dont know what they were thing besides people drieng them n smoking it.or adding it to something.they both do work.i just think u get more out of the gels.call around to different pharmacies or go to a hospital with a pharmacy they usually have the gels.but sometimes when u ask they might look@ u funny.so explain to them why u asked.tell them that they dont burm your skin as much.good luck im trying to get back on the patches myself but 50 mg isnt enough especially if they arent the non gels.also when water hits the non gels it cuts into the dosage.to me that is.i got tired oof tapeing myself all up in the summer time and they work better on your chest to me.50 mg isnt enough to place any where else.lol
I have been given three diffrerent brands of my patch- Mylan, Duragesic, and another brand name I do not remember because it was gel. The gel one leaked easily and I was almost overdosed by it and would never accept a gel patch again. Mylan and Duragesic have worked indentically for me, except that the Mylan patches do not stick quite as well. One non medicine advantage to the Mylan is you can open the packet by tearing a strip but I always need scissors for the other kind. I was worried Mylan would not work as well but it does for me.
I don't understand the issue about Mylan fentanyl patches. The ones I have used are very small, no gel, stick good in the shower, and are wonderful. I am having a problem getting pharmacies to stock them because they say the insurances do not reimburse them adequately for the cost. I had one pharmacy that would provide them, and now they say they will probably quit. I don't understand what anyone has against this patch.
