Can anyone tell me if long term use of suboxone for someone over 50 yrs. old is in any way detrimental? I have had a quadruple bypass and now carry 5 stints in my arteries... had been taking massive amounts of oxy., hydro., opana roxy methadone, etc for at l;east 2 decades... This stuff has got to be better, huh?
hi qcqt,if your question is will suboxone be a better long term med to be on.then say that.im 51 years young. 1 year ago i was on 400mg of kadian 2x a day.i took that poison for almost 4 years and i too felt myself slipping away.thank god for suboxone and the clinic im now on. i take 24mg, 8mg3xa day.my life is 100% better for it now.as far as side effects on sub there is no comparing to the life it has given me back.i have asked on almost all the websites i could and this is the answer i keep getting.to date there has been no study of buprenorphine on long term use.hey, maybe we could get enrolled in a prolonged study of its use ... pete
