Seroquel and Zyprexa are different. Both medications works on a variety of receptors, and both work on the dopamine receptors. However, they have varying effects on different receptor. Both are considered to be Atypical Antipsycotics and both are in similar categories for treatment. Each person will respons differently to each medication.
Also there are slight differences in side effects, have different precautions, and slightly different uses in some people.
So, they are smiliar, they are not the same, and have dlightly different actions but it would not be unusual to see someone switch between the two depending on the response.
Seroquel can cause drowsiness, so it will help with sleep.
