Clinical trials of Cymbalta (duloxetine hydrochloride) for fibromyalgia indicated, up to 2% of people taking Cymbalta experienced weight gain.

Cymbalta uses: Weight gain was reported as a frequent side effect, occurring in at least 1% of people, although the exact percentage was not reported. However, it is more typical for people to lose a little weight while taking this drug.

Hope this helps, source: https://www.drugs.com/sfx/cymbalta-side-effects.html

I took Cymbalta for about 1 year and I lost 70lbs! For me it suppressed my appitite and I was just not hungary at all.

I've GAINED 20 lbs since I've been taking Cymbalta. It seems to effect everyone differently - some people actually lose weight. I would try it and just be sensitive to any changes with your weight.
