I work for 9 urology surgeons and was wondering how to get free samples of estrace cream for patients?
Trust me, you most definitely have a rep, although I am surprised a facility with 9 doctors has flown under their radar. Here's a little explanation of how it works:
Each drug rep has a "territory": a set of counties, a section of a very large city, or even multiple states, depending on your location and population density. Drug reps are a little like car salesman, in that the manufacturer gives them a bit to work with but then they have to do the legwork and "sell". The manufacturer gives them access to a database of doctors, but your doctors might be "deactivated" within their database. This happens for different reasons, but most common is at one point someone at your facility told them you did not want drug reps to come. Or perhaps because you are a urology facility and not a gynecology facility, but usually drug reps are knowledgeable enough to know urologists will prescribe this medicine almost as much, if not more than a gynecologist.
All you need to do is go to the manufacturer's website and find a contact for health care professionals. Let them know you are interested is receiving samples and they will happily put you in contact with your drug rep.
At our facility we have inservices, which are really informative and usually catered ;)
I believe the manufacturer for Estrace is Warner Chilcott. Hope you get your samples, it's great to be able to provide patients with expedited relief!
