... & hydrocodone?
No, due to all the new federal laws about narcotics. I see my pain doctor every two months. He sends a script to the pharmacy after my visit and then I call his office a month later and they send a new script to the pharmacy. He let's me do this because I have been a patient of his for 10 years with no problems.
Doctors are NO longer allowed to give refills on Narcotics.
LIKE DanceDar I too am able to get Narcotic scripts without seeing my doctor every month.
Because I have been seeing my doctor for over 20 yrs, I too am able to get my Narcotics on a monthly basis.
However, before my doctor re-writes the same Narcotic scripts every month there are State rules that must be followed regardless if you're a new patient or an established patient.
First, you MUST use the same pharmacy EVERYTIME. My state is very strict when it comes to "pharmacy shopping"
Second, only one doctor is allowed to write your Narcotics.
Even if you have a surgical procedure in the city all controlled substances must still be written from your original Narcotic doctor.
Finally, before your doctor writes or re-writes your Narcotics, both your doctor's office & Pharmacy gets a "Narcotic printout" of any and all Narcotic filled that month under your name.
As long as I follow all the guidelines listed above, I can continue to "PICK UP" my Narcotic prescriptions at the doctor's office with a valid driver's license.
Yes, all these laws are very strict but that's the way it is.
