Tamoxifen Dosing for Breast Cancer Prevention or Ductal Carcinoma
The recommended dose of tamoxifen for preventing breast cancer or for treating ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) is tamoxifen 20 mg, taken once daily for five years.

Hope that you are cured by then as its a preventive medication as prescribed by your doc, maybe he/she would be the best person to answer your question.

Take care, best wishes!

The ideal length of treatment with tamoxifen is not known.
Clinical trials are ongoing to determine whether hormone therapy taken for more than 5 years is beneficial.
