I think this is a lot . I have had migraines for over a year . They were getting better but now worse. I called the doctor and his nurse said the indicated to now take 100 mg in the morning and 100 mg at night . I have been on this medication for over 7 months. I have read you can increase it over 100mg when you have been on it over 5 weeks but just making sure . Thanks
I think the nurse is following the known prescribing pattern of the Dr. she works for. 400 mg seems to be the prescribing limit only because no more benefit is gained beyond that dose, not because of any bad effects from the drug. I take 300 mg per day for appetite suppression and have no side effects that I can name. I think you can relax about the 200 mg dose unless you have side effects that bother you.
