... that he wldnt take my insurance because I'm high deductible and said he needed 650 bucks.asked where I banked which was across the street and said he wld wait for me at the door and when I got back the scrip would be ready but he didn't even say what he was going to give me..is this guy legit? I don't think he is
No. Something is wrong here. Tell him to keep his Rx. Whether or not you are a high deductable is none of his concern. He should bill the insurance company first then bill you for any remainder. Some do collect upfront which is really not right because he has no idea of how much of your deductable has been already satisfied. He could contact your insurance company and get an idea but what if you had a claim from someone else be processed in the mean time and your deductable was satisfied? I'm sure he is worried that you are going to walk and he wont get his money but that is BS. That is his chance to take. I agree with the above poster. Dont give this guy any of your money. He is more worried about that than helping you. I would call your Medical Board for your state and report his behavior and I would also call your insurance company to let them know what lind of Drs they are contracting with. Often an insurance company can do an investigation and file complaints on your behalf. Find another pain Dr and stay away from this guy!!!
