i just got my own script for perc 7.5s and i go back in a few days to get my next months script .. they might ua me to see if percocet is in me what happens if its not and i test positiv for thc>
If the percocet is not in your system they will want to know why. If you cant give them a satisfactory reason then they could refuse to refill the Percocet or they could even drop you as a patient, especially if you signed an opioid contract. If they find THC they could also drop you as a patient or they may just counsel you this time against the dangers of illicit drugs and give you another chance but if they continue to find THC, they will drop you as a patient.
It is completely normal nowadays for doctors to do urine testing to see if their patients are taking the pain killers as prescribed and not taking any not prescribed substances. Normally the patient is advised of this and signs a contract with the provider before they get their first prescription of pain meds. If this is the first time thc is found you MAY be counseled but from what I've heard and experienced you would be dismissed from the practice. If you did not sign an Opioid Agreement or Contract with the doctor you might be able to argue that you did not know it wasn't allowed but if you did sign a contract you should expect to be shown the door. This is not any judgment of you, not at all, just how pain management is in the U.S. over this last couple of years. Doctors just can't take any chances - the DEA is watching and they can lose their license.
