My doctor gave me meloxicam 15 mg for my menstrual cramps -severe pain. I waited to take it until yesterdayto take it when I started my period, it barely helps. Should I take them -every day- (pain or no pain) or once a day only during menstrual pain?-thanks!
melo; If the doctor did not say anything different, Really the best way to take the Meloxicam for cramps for the woman that have severe cramps every month and your period is also on the same day. Is to start taking the medication starting 3 days prior to your period and continue taking it until you are a day or two after your period stops. And that is just 1 tablet daily, also do not take any other pain relievers with it like Tylenol or it's generic or Ibuprofen you only take the Meloxicam and nothing else again it is very important that you start this medication at least 3 days prior to your period.
