... couple they broke up and it was very ugly. One of them I'd been friends with the longest called the Dr of the other and made claims they were selling their meds well to get the other back they called my Dr out of spite but somehow my Dr's office found them convincing enough to discharge me!!! I explained the situation and was totally embarrassed n also upset that they believed them. They said if I can find a concrete way of proving to them I can continue my care. In the mean time the Dr wrote me same prescriptions without any orders to cut back. Im on around the clock opiates and i know i will suffer if I can figure out what to do. Please help! !!!
Hi spotfree. I agree with macintosh. Ask for a hair test. If you still are taking your meds they can even do just a urine test & find that you are taking them & not selling them I am susupicious of a doctor today that is not doing testing a it is now a law that they have to. Maybe it's time to find a new doctor. Go to your PCP & ask for a referral to a new Pain doc, & explain the situation. We all feel for you...
Am sorry for the loss of your friend. The other shoe dropped, so to speak. Do you have family or friends to talk with? You are always welcome here.
If your finances are getting too low, please remember that there is Medicaid and you could file disability with Medicare. If you have done all of this, I do understand. My health wiped out most of what we had and the economy has taken the rest.
Please know that there are people who care. And just so you know. We are not doctors, although there are many nurses here as well as other professionals. This is an open forum and you may find all kinds of help and ideas here when you are ready. Again, sorry for the loss of your friend. Karen
Yet again, someone is done in by not having health insurance. Remember how ObamaCare would extend insurance to so many others.
And for the rest of us that currently have health insurance, if you lose it, other insurance companies can't reject you for pre-existing illnesses with ObamaCare. Currently no other insurance company will touch me.
