I had my Zoloft dose adjusted due to a huge anxiety attack and the aftershocks. Went from 25 mg to 50 mg. Have used the higher doses in the past for post-partum... But I do not remember the transition being this hard! Depression, anxiety, etc. Had a couple good days but having an episode right now. How did envy one else fare? How did you calm yourself down?
Good morning Koosh,
Gonna take a little more time for the Zoloft increase in dose to work. I recommend some deep breathing exercises and talk therapy as well. Sometimes it takes both to get a handle on our symptoms. You are welcome to talk with me. I assure you it will get better.
I had the same thing happen when I went from 25 mg to 50 mg. I have been on Zoloft now for 2.5 weeks and am using it for anxiety. After 7 days the Dr. told me to go up to 50 mg, which I did and it was horrible-my anxiety shot up and I felt horrible. I went back to 25 mg and have been there ever since-my anxiety is not any better. I am finding that Klonopin helps with my anxiety and not sure if I want to continue on with the Zoloft... although everyone says it takes time.
I had the same thing happen to me, and it took about a week. Deep breathing and meditation is extremely helpful. Try concentrating on keeping yourself calm and relaxed. Taking long showers or a bath until it passes. Exercise was the key player for me. It would make me so tired that I was feel more relaxed afterwards.
