I have been taking adderall for 8 years. The doctor who prescribed it resigned and i was given to a new doctor, who apparently doesn't believe in the drug. I called for a med refill and the doctor who is filling in for my original doctor who has been on vacation for a month, decided she doesn't feel comfortable filling it. Without any reason. I have been without for a week and have been seriously sick. Don't they have to taper off this medication? Can i threaten them with an attorney.
When is your dr coming back? I would make an appt with this dr and tell her what is going on and tell her its not how you take someone off of it. Unfortunately its perfectly acceptable for drs to treat us shabbily if we take controlled drugs. I don't know if a lawyer would take it. I might call one and ask if it were me. They say do no harm as an argument to stop it, then do no harm and stop it correctly.
