I never go to any type of doc. I finally do as Im very sure I've always had add/adhd I'm 35 now. social went to family doc. talked to him he even said he thinks I'm attention deficit but then he gave me buspar. and from what I'm reading it's seems unusual as a adhd med. I want to try a stimulate like adderall. what do I do or what did I do wrong. he seemed like he cared and listened well but then did this. from what I read it doesn't make sence and doesn't have a good track record. what do I say when I see him in a week. That I don't feel any better or??? thanks
Try this, approach him with "what you read" site your sources and see hoe he responds. If it sounds as though his license was awarded based on his competence, then you go with it, after all, whatever you're reading can't prescribe meds. It comes down to trusting the Dr who has had the opportunity to personally diagnose you, opposed to the piles of subjective blabber that floods the Internet.
All these meds are highly individualized, so the feedback will vary as so many conditions and diagnoses exist.
Your answer (and solution) lies (right now) with that Dr., or, maybe a 2nd opinion (resulting from an in person diagnosis is in order.
