I took my first pill today but my period this month was over a week-2 weeks ago.I just read about my new BC so I didnt know. Can I get pregnant??
You really should have started them on the first sunday of your period, it has something to do with the hromones that trigger the period and stopping the level that would cause you to ovulate. Yes, you could get pregnant and really use a back up method until you are thru with not only all the actives from the first pack of Loestrin, but all the actives from the second pack as well, just to be absolutely sure. If you ovulate already and are pregnant, the pill will not cause you to lose the baby, but your cycle is likely to be very erratic until you get thru that second pack of pills. Use a back up method, and make sure you take all of the active pills as close to nearly 24 hours apart as you can, don't miss any. Call your dr if you have any concern of being pregnant now.
