Is it normal after youve heard voices to feel lonely and depressed after you stop hearing them through the use of medication I have major depression with psychotic features so i was just wondering. I just started zyprexa and it works great but ive been feeling like i wish i had someone to talk to
I think what you are feeling is normal for the circumstances. I recommend you seek some counseling if you aren't already. Having someone to help you overcome your loneliness is important. Having to change our way of thinking can be a bit scarey and anxiety causing. Now that you are on a path of progress, alleviating the psychosis, and getting the depression under control why not address some of the issues that your illness causes? I have and feel much better for it.
Hear to listen when you need a friend,
i have major depression without psychotic features. i think loneliness is natural. i feel the same way but i don't want to burden family, friends and they just don't get it. they tell you everybody goes through it but they don;t realize how what you feel is an extreme and probably isn't the right way of thinking.
