I ask that question tonite because sometimes when the anxiety is high and I have these thoughts racing thru my mind while around other people I feel different, Has any one else felt this way...
Ya i definitely know what your talking about. I've been struggling with anxiety for at least 3 years now and finally are started to make a break through thanks to a great friend and a church i've been attending. I would have to say anxiety in general is a major cause of feeling insecure in yourself and feeling out of place or not normal. Try not to take this bait, everybody is different in some ways. In this world you have very extroverted people that are the most popular and easy to pick up friends then you have very introverted people such as myself that may not have the outgoing personality that draws everyone to me but that's okay. I know there's strong qualities that i have that people in this world that fit in naturally don't. I believe a lot of it can be solved by not worrying so much what other people are thinking, judging, their expressions, their actions towards you and trust me it's hard to overcome but keep striving and to work past that insecurity. Say to yourself,"So what!!! " if I'm right that they don't like me or think i'm weird or whatever. Everyone has something to offer and try focusing on," how can i be of help to this person?", maybe their going through something you can help them with. I hope this helps you some, trying to figure out how to put what I'm trying to get across into words. Don't know what you've been thru in life. Emotional Pain I believe plays a vital role in anxiety. I myself have gone through a lot of heart ache, felt like there was no hope, negative outlook on life,depression, anxiety,low self esteem, so on, and have always felt like a fish out of water. This world does a very good job of out of place, inferior, or whatever but don't give out on hope. You can fill like a fish in water, a lot of it is mind set. You can overcome.
