I found them on him and he says he just takes them for pain once and a while but it's a sketchy situation and he's already been caught taking Xanax... What are the chances that he is taking them occationally? Do people that take roxies take them a lot?
Roxicodone, Roxicet, are a class ll narcotic opiate pain reliever. It is a prescription that can not be called in and you must show an ID when picking them up. It is highly addictive and often abused. Much stronger than a 5mg vicodin. If your friend is taking these meds and they aren't prescribed to him, that is a felony. People who are prescribed this type of medication usually take them on a regular basis as they are prescribed for chronic, moderate to severe pain. If your friend got "caught" taking xanax as well, he is more than likely abusing these meds and putting himself in physical danger. It's a tough spot you are in. Do you say something or not? If you think he is abusing these meds, is there someone you trust you can talk to about the situation? Only you know what you should do. There are hotlines and programs you could call to get advice on how to handle the situation. If you confront him, he may become very defensive and shut down. I'm not in the position to tell you how to handle this. All I can do is support you and let you know about the meds he is taking. I wish you well and hope you find the answers you need.
