Do I need to take niacin if I'm taking simvastatin?

Sometimes you may need to take Niacin with Simvastatin. They work differently, simvastatin works more to reduce serum LDL and niacin mainly lowers triglycerides, so it may be used in combination if both these cholesterols are high.
