my wife has at least 3 alters 2 of which can be classified as violent one is a sociopath i am the only person that has ever interacted with these alters knowing that infact that they were the alters. Ive video taped the alters and showed my wife at her request mostly to get answers as to why they do the things they do when they are out

As somebody with multiple personality disorder. I know how frustrating it can be for the people around me, but the thing is, when my alters possess my body, I'm still somewhat conscious... but I have no physicalcontrol, so the best thing you could do is make sure there are no weapons around, and don't leave her unattended, because if she is like me, things can get dangerous
Mostly I agree with Pledge. I have @ 20 alter personalities and have learned that the violent ones are either introjects of an abuser or are actually trying to protect her. They definitely need someone to listen. Really, whether or not she or they accept this, they are all her. An excellent book on the subject is "amongst ourselves" written by a therapist who has the condition. And please, DID is not a personality disorder. It falls at the extreme end of anxiety disorder. And yes, she must work with an excellent therapist AND psychiatrist specializing in the condition. They will best be able to help you as a couple.
