A friend of mine is currently taking the brand name Cordarone made by Wyeth Laboratories. He has exhausted all other known drugs for his life threatening afib and found that only Cordarone was able to convert his heart and has been on Cordarone for 20+ years. He is now being told by the pharmaceutical company that they are no longer going to make this drug. He is not sure what he is going to do. Does anyone know if there is a way to fight this decision and make them continue to produce this drug for him, and I am sure for many others? He is not able to take the generic of this drug as it has been proved ineffective for him.
