Dilaudid - Are there different ways to ingest the 4mg tablets when there is swallowing difficulty?

As long as they are not a "slow release" medication, you can crush them with two spoons, and put them into some applesauce, or something equally smooth to swallow, and ingest them that way, I've done this for some time with meds for kids, and it works quite well. Good luck.

You could also ask your doctor to prescribe the dilaudid in suppository form.
