Ones I've tried: lexapro, celexa, viibryd, zoloft, prozac, cymbalta. I am currently on 150mg of zoloft. I did hear adding Wellbutrin to zoloft works. What dose would that be? Or should I ask about the new antidepressants Fetzima and Brintellix? Please help!
Adding Wellbutrin helped my energy levels. I also lost about 10lbs. I'm always Leary about trying the latest version and the stuff the pharmaceutical companies plaster allover the T.V. I'd stick with the tried and true. Maybe ask about going over to a different type of Antidepressant.
You don't want to overwhelm your Dr.at your visit. So... I would ask what your Dr.feels about adding something like Wellbutrin vs. a med in a different antidepressant group.
~Good Luck :)
Ooh! I forgot to add a very important thing with ALL antidepressants.
**Give the med a good few (2+) months before switching **
Some just take a while until YOU notice the difference. Not just the others around you.
Be sure to always ask friends and family if you seem better, and in what ways. Sometimes our loved ones see it before WE see it. And more importantly, feel it.
~Good Luck! Prayers are with you!
