I have been a 30 year plus user of Mysoline. I have had no seizures. About 20 years ago, I used a generic for about 5 days, and had a seizure. I went back on to the Mysoline, and have been seizure free. I am having trouble ordering the 250mg dosage, and with Medicare, the co-pay is expensive. I am considering moving to a generic equivalent, hoping that I will find one that will be as good for me as the brand Mysoline. Your thoughts?
My neurologist said never to take generic anti seizure drugs. That was 31 years ago. I've always taken Mysoline. About 4 or 5 years ago I decided to save some money and take the generic Mysoline and I had a seizure. I have always been seizure free on Mysoline. I don't know if the absorption is different, but they are not the same. I pray Medicare pays for your Mysoline… I completely understand.
