What's the difference norco and vicodin?

Here's one I answer every day. The only difference is the manufacturer. They are the same drugs.

Even though they are the same, norco never exceeds 325 tylenol whereas vicodin has different amounts of tylenol.

The difference is that Norco has the same amounts of hydrocodone as Vicodin but contains less acetaminophen. This is actually safer, because the Dr. can increase Norco without getting too much acetaminophen in your system. Acetaminophen is harmful to your liver in higher doses.

As of Jan 1 all combo meds with tylenol can only have 325 mg of tylenol.
