What is the difference between oxycodone and oxycottin?

the "contin" stands for "continuous" release, the other is "IR" or immediate release.

One is extended release or "long acting" and the other is immediate release or "short acting" Other than that, it is the same exact medication, it is just the delivery system that is different.
