my husband was on oxycodone n was switched to hydro and I want to no if I should give him the whole pill of the hydro since he did have a stroke and a tumor on the left side of the brain a little scarred given it to him
This question has also been asked and answered here: Oxycodone vs Hydrocodone - What's the difference between them?
Hydrocodone is only about half as strong as oxycodone mg to mg. 10mg of hydrocodone is equal to 5 mg oxycodone so give all of the drug to him if he is having pain. Acetaminophen will not affect him as far as increase risk of further strokes or problems with the tumor. Acetaminophen doesnt reduce clotting time like NSAIDS do.
