I've been on celexa 10 mg for a month and before that on 5 mg for a month. Now my doctor has me on 10 mg Prozac. So I stopped taking celexa and started Prozac. Today's my first day starting it and an two hours into it I'm having bad hiccups and feel cold. How long can I expect to have withdrawal from celexa?
Andrew; They are in the same class of medications But work different there is enough differents that some people do better on one than the other, but all you can do is try them and see which works best for you. Because we are all different and what works for one person does not always work for the other. So it is for sure worth a try. Just remember whenever you start the new one you can go through the same type side effects when you first try it but they should go away within a few weeks and it can take up to 6 to 8 weeks to fully kick in. But they are both in the same family of drugs called SSRI'S AND WELL worth the try. Good luck with the change. Chuck1957
