It has been found that 90% of the infants they born with Vit D3 deficiency. Hence it is suggested that 400 I.U of Vit D3 should be given to all the infants soon after birth. For adults it is suggested to have 1000 - 2000IU / day. you may get some Vit D3 by exposing your skin to sun but it would not be adequate.Hence take Vit D3 supplements.
