I had an accident a few years ago and suffer joint and back pain. I feel I need to go back on suboxone to cope but my family thinks its a cop out to go back on it after being clean for 14 mon. Please help with some feedback- Thank you
Hey Jack, welcome to the site. If you are having temptations/cravings, that is something your family can't feel for you, so, they don't understand how tough it can be to stay clean. There are some really good YouTube.com videos from SuboxDoc and Maple2609 explaining why suboxone helps keep you clean and how to talk to family members that think you should not get on one med to quit another. It also might help you understand why you choose subs vs not taking anything to stop withdrawal and craving. If you are tempted to take opiates either more often or longer than you need them to heal from your injury, I would say getting back on it and doing the addiction therapy will help you recover from your addiction.Suboxdoc has lots of YouTube videos on any questions about suboxone treatment. Maple is a young patient who really nails it when he explains why and how it has helped him. Only you know how bad your cravings are and how quickly your tolerance can go up and possibly cause havoc in your life. Best of luck, patti
