I'm A 10-13 cig a day smoker. Started Chantix Nov 3 and on the 11th day. I cannot take the evening dose of 1mg b/c my sleep is restless. No serious problems, just a little nausea and sleeplessnes and no wierd dream as yet, hope not. Since it 's the weekend, I will try taking .5MG in the evening to see how I do. I'm still smoking about 2-3 a day and really hoping to wean off of it, if the .5mg works for me in the evening.

I haven't taken Chantix myself but the link below has reviews made by people who have used it. You may find it useful.

The packet says to stop between day 8 and 14, preferably day 8. I am on day 17. smoked a few cigarettes in the evening of day 15 and a couple leftover butts left in the ashtray last night. You kinda just have to say okay this is my last one. Chantix doesn't kill the cravings completely, hence the weaknesses of days 15 and 16 above. But I find that instead of my head screaming at me that I want to smoke, its just chatter that I can distract myself from. I personally am looking forward to the vivid dreams and don't have restless sleep. Part of the restless sleep also may be your body wanting the nicotine as its not out of your system yet. Mine either and I can't wait to sleep through the night. Good luck to us both.
