Can hardly walk it now seems to have moved to middle of my back legs hurting wen I walk
I have a pinched nerve in L5 and other back issues. I get spasms on and off in the same area. No Dr. knows what causes it. I have arthritis in the back, bulging and herniated discs also. They believe it is from L5. I had my first epidural and went into a spasm three days later. I felt great after the epidural but who knows why I got a spasm. It is painful. I went to a Urgent Walk In care facility and they gave me a shot of Toradol for immediate relief. He also sent me home with Baclofen 10mg three times a day which helped even more to totally relax the spasm. It's frustrating. It's hard to work with these intermittent spasms. I won't work until this is resolved. I've been dealing with this with work for 16 years and realize now I can't. I am 58. We are going to try two more areas for epidurals also that may cure my spasms. This is more then a Primary Care Dr. can handle. I have a Dr. of Osteopath or he is called a Physiatrist which is a Dr. of bones, muscles and nerve problems. I will let you know how I do. Ice doesn't help too much when I get them. Sometimes I try to break up the spasm with a mechanism that looks like a paddle with a protruding knob and lay on it to break the spasm up. It is called a Fenix Rehab System. Google It.
