I mean there is not a day that goes by that I don't feel ill.. I feel like I've had the flu for 7 years it's just a horrible horrible feeling I wouldn't wish this illness on anyone... does anyone know anything about this my actual diagnosis was mixed connective tissue disorder / secondary lupus.
When you were diagnosed with a connective tissue disease in 2007 what were your symptoms?
Did you suffer from chronic pain, fatigue, fever, multiple blood abnormalities such as anemia, low white blood cell count, positive ANA and an increased sedimentation rate?
If you suffered from some of the above symptoms then that's why you feel ill most days.
Unfortunately, there's no cure for CTD's. However, if you have a rheumatologist they can help you manage your CTD.
Anti-malarial medications such as Plaquenil can help keep the disease manageable.
Also, if necessary your rheumatologist can help manage the pain and inflammation that is felt throughout your body.
Unfortunately, fatigue and fevers make connective tissue diseases debilitating at times. Something it is necessary to take antidepressant. Not only do they help stabilize your depression but they can also help to manage your pain.
If you can get on a regiment of auto-immune/CTD medications sometimes the disease can go into remission. It's possible for the remission to last a year or more.
I do hope better days will come your way.
