Hello all. I was diagnosed with Gastritis a few days ago by Endoscope. Biopsies were taken to check for H.Pylori and have not gotten results yet. My concern is, does this nightmare ever go away? I have had these episodes since New Years and while I do feel better than I have before, some things I do eat trigger discomfort, but I just eliminate those from my diet. Whether I have H.Pylori or not, does this clear up? Will I ever be back to my normal self and not have to watch every single thing I eat? Thank you for any answers. Just feeling a little down and hopeless as my diet mainly consists of bland foods and salad all the time.
There are medications such as Nexium and Ranitidine Sandoz that can control your symptoms and maybe even eliminate them if you have a bacteria infection like H Pylori. But sometimes tissue analysis doesn't show any physical cause for gut problems so the diagnosis ends up being anxiety as the source. Usually anxiety has to be fairly severe to cause physical problems. Whether the lab does or doesn't find a reason, you may need to take one or both of the drugs mentioned above for either permanent relief or at least some control over the symptoms. Best wishes.
