I was diagnosed 3/2012 new to the uncertain realization I HAVE MS. DR has recommended TYSABRI. Will u help me understand what I need to be ready for at first infusion. Been reading a lot! I know that I will be awake during the infusion but another friend told me for ms that being put to sleep in any situation or procedure works against ms. Could that be true? I worry about after insurance payment for this infusion. I have bcbs but what other help can I investigate to help pay for treatment? Any help will be so grateful... Thank u in advance
Hi nurse. A needle is inserted into your arm, kinda like a blood test except the blood is flowing the other way. This takes about an hour. After the infusion you use that time to you relax. You'll be observed for an hour afterwards. Have a friend or someone to chat with, a magazine, book, music, whatever you want to do during that hour after the infusion.
Your going to be just fine. Remember, God will be with you the whole way. You won't be alone.
Take care, my new friend and welcome aboard. Anna

I've been taking Tysabri for about 7 years for MS. I've been getting anxious lately-is this related?

Tysabri - Has anyone experience really bad depression a week to two weeks before your next infusion?
