... take hydrocodone 10 500 one every 4 to 6 hours. This makes the pain bearable most of the time but it's not working like it use to. If I ask my Dr. For something stronger what should I ask for? Thanks Jeff
Who is taking care of your legs. I mean what kind of Dr. This problem is serious. As far as pain meds don't ask for a med. It makes drs suspicious. Just tell him the pills aren't working. You could also say that you would prefer something without Tylenol in it because Tylenol is hard on the liver.
The wound care people from home health will work with your doctor regarding your pain levels and how the sores are doing. Be sure you talk with the nurse about your pain. They can be very helpful, a good advocate and often suggest to the doctor what is needed. I know this from experience. That nurse will see you as a whole person and not just some bandages. I have found the ones who visit me to be kind and very helpful.
