auntof3sjb, Hey there, hon. It's been a while since we've chatted. I'm so sorry your having these problems. You sure don't deserve them. I don't have any thoughts, other than, I want you to find out what is going on, and get well. And I'm glad you have an appointment made. Mainly, though, I want you to know I'm here, and you know how to get ahold of me, should you need me. I'm defininatly going to pray for you, and this appointment coming up. Keep faith and hope close to you. Your Friend, Ruthie
Hello. You didn't say how high your blood sugars were. Was this fasting blood sugar? If not it is probably meaningless. Everyone's blood sugars go up for almost two hours after eating. What to look for is where are you after that or before the next meal. They can easily run an A1c which will check how your past three months have been with your sugars. Also very helpful.
As for the fatigue, it takes a couple months to heal from flu and bronchitis. My guess is the fatigue is because you are back pushing your energy into a daily routine and not getting enough sleep. It is essential to heal. Afternoon naps until you wakeup, no alarm, will tell you just how tired you are. I think your doctor is right and you really need that rest.
Also, thyroid should be checked. That can go any time and is worth the look.
Once these tests are done you can feel more secure in your diagnosis, if any, and can get that energy back. I know it well not to have energy. Sometimes a nap is like a blessing. Enjoy the healing and you really will be much better. Will be curious how you are doing. :-) Karen
