Hi paratusssssssssssss, did you try the site LaurieShay provided? I would think that pledge would be right, the American Diabetes Association went overboard for me, back when I was a kid and had a neighbour who needed a blood coding device, they sent the device and all the paraphenalia to my neighbour gratis, free.
There are magazines at supermarkets aimed at people with diabetes, full of recipes, you may want to look for one, cookbooks as well. I was just perusing the cookbook section whilst looking for Thanksgiving recipes and noticed several Diabetic Cookbooks.
Best of wishes to you and your son, it sounds dire indeed. I do hope he gets his much needed organs very soon.
