Here are some tips on managing diabetes easier that I just received.
Put everything you need for diabetes in an easily portable cooler, tote or backpack. This way you can just grab and go!
Wear a medical ID saying you have diabetes.
Create a list of medications, what they are for and when you take them. You’ll only have to create the list once; then simply update it over time. Keep the list in your cooler or backpack, and always take it with you to your doctor’s appointments.
Find a small book or journal for daily notes. In this one place, write down your blood glucose checks, daily food intake, exercise schedule, and any stress or illness that might affect your blood glucose. Find a small notepad that you can keep in your pocket or purse – that way you always have it with you, and you’re more likely to use it. Take this journal to your doctor’s appointments.
